We have a similar problem in Ohio. The news media is owned by right wingers, here. We have no liberal media outlets in Ohio. They ignore the corruption and rank incompetence by the GOP running our state. During the governor's election, the right wing newspapers made a big deal out of getting the key codes used by the Democratic Party candidate from the parking garage for his county job. Of course, they made no such fuss for Governor Kasich. Kasich's excuse for not releasing his parking garage information was "security", which was used by the right wing media to excuse their coverups for his lack of transparency, while blasting his challenger for not releasing his information. The right wing media sued the county forcing them to release the information while they covered up Kasich's information.
