That's a bitty juvenile croc. When he/she grows up and is 16 feet long and 1,000 pounds or so, they'll both probably feel differently about close encounters at Ye Olde Water Hole.

The photo was taken from a good distance away.

The croc is likely at least 6 feet to the left of the impala rather than directly in front of it.
