In a Politico op-ed Sunday, Jindal lamented that minorities place undue emphasis on heritage, and urged Americans to resist the politically correct trend of changing the melting pot into a salad bowl comprised of proudly ethnic identities.
Jindal insisted that, while racism still rears its ugly head from time to time since Martin Luther King Jr.s iconic I have a dream speech, the major race problem facing modern America is that minorities are too focused on their separateness:
Yet we still place far too much emphasis on our separateness, our heritage, ethnic background, skin color, etc. We live in the age of hyphenated Americans: Asian-Americans, Italian-Americans, African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Cuban-Americans, Indian-Americans, and Native Americans, to name just a few.

(12,723 posts)celebrates their heritage yet I am quite sure Jindal will kiss the ass of every irish-american in the US if it gets him their votes. I also think a lot of Louisianans go on a lot about their peculiar heritages but no, its non-whites who are responsible for all the racism.
Bobby Jindal is that rare man who is as dumb as he looks.

Reagan was one of them also. I wish someone would ask him if he thought it was wrong for Reagan to do this.

(16,423 posts)Let's all come together.
Let's forget our different skin-colors and blend all the races into one brown-skinned mix.
Let's forget our different languages and mix words from all around the world into american english.
Let's forget our different cultures and mix Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas with asian, african and middle-eastern traditions. (I hope you have your Nowruz-table decorated already, because the persian New Year is March 20th.)
Let's forget our different religions and mix Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Voodoo, Mormonism, native-american Shamanism, Shintoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Wicca, Scientology, Satanism...
Let's see how many conservatives are with him.
