What to say about the arrest on drug possession charges of the son of Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore?
My initial thought was to say nothing. Then a couple of things happened: I started trying to catch up on social media and noticed tweets and Facebook posts criticizing "liberals" and "Democrats" for taking joy in the arrest of Caleb Moore, that's the son. This joy liberals were taking was in seeing Roy Moore embarrassed or held up to some kind of public inspection as a parent and found wanting.
For the record, the emotion I have been feeling about all this is not joy. It's disgust.
