What the hell happened to Laurence Tribe? He's now a hired gun for the Koch brothers crowd.

Just pathetic.

In my considered view, EPA is off on a constitutionally reckless mission,” Laurence Tribe, a professor at Harvard Law School, said in prepared remarks at a House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy and Power hearing on Tuesday.

Tribe was hired to write comments on the rule by Peabody Energy Corp., the largest coal-mining company in the world.

A law professor who taught President Obama is criticizing his landmark climate rule for power plants, calling it an overreach of power that threatens energy supplies.

Laurence Tribe, a professor at Harvard Law School, was hired to write comments on the rule by Peabody Energy Corp., the largest coal-mining company in the world. Massey & Gail, Tribe’s law firm, publicized the comments Friday, after they were formally filed Monday.

His comments focused on four objections to the rule, arguing it violates a decades-long federal policy of increasing coal use; ignores the separation of powers between the executive and legislative branches; effectively upsets investment without proper payment and and violates limits on the EPA’s authority.

This corrupt a-hole sits there with a straight face and says that the EPA's global warming rules (the Supreme Court ordered the EPA to regulate global warming) are unconstitutional because they don't encourage people to use coal.

Ugh.
