Actually that's probably a true statement, there are many people in South Asia and the Pacific who have extremely dark skin yet aren't Negroid.

I've heard the same bullshit for years from some of the dumbasses in my family, "there's black people and then there's n****rs". But when I ask them to name someone they would consider a "black person" they are oddly unable to name one person.

There is a lot of racism in the state, mostly directed at Indians. (I've heard them charmingly referred to as "prairie n******s".)

There are hardly any black people in the state. My high school of 900 students had one.

Fortunately for the local rednecks, there have been new arrivals for them to hate on: First, Mexicans, and now, Hmong.

Sadly, racism there seems to be positively correlated with being poor and working class white.

Wish this guy could be investigated. Weird, it was only coming out west that I learned it was as racist as we were always taught the South was.

We were taught about the murder of laborers from China, what being Shanghai'd meant. too. And how Spanish land grants were nullified and citizens of Japanese ancestry in internment camps were robbed of their land. Not even to mention the indian wars and the environmental disasters caused by greed and arrogance.
