Son Of Alabama Chief Justice Blames 'Crooked Police,' Media For Drug Arrest
The son of Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore said Monday night that the police officers who arrested him for suspected drug possession over the weekend targeted him for political reasons, the Washington Post reported.
"This is nothing more than a prime example of how media and crooked police officers and critics of my dad try to not only destroy his career for what he stands for but will go as far as trying to destroy his family," Caleb Moore, 24, wrote in a Facebook post.
He also shared what he said were the results of a drug test, writing: "I am not a drug user as the drug test taken today will show."
Moore was arrested Sunday and charged with with possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance in Troy, Alabama.
