1. Politicians, when asked about women's reproductive subjects, say "I'm not a Doctor"
Reporter: "So you're not a Doctor but you play one in Congress..huh ?"
2. "I don't know much about this Global Warming thing..I'm not a scientist"
Reporter: I'll ask a scientist then...Oh wait, I already have.. and they say IT'S TRUE"

(15,220 posts)So many times, a reporter asks a specific question and a politician gives a lovely answer. The problem is that the answer has nothing to do with the question asked.
I like it when reporters pin down their subjects and follow through until the question is answered.
I'd love to see a reporter say "either answer my question as asked or get off my show".

(15,382 posts)Politician: I'm not a climate scientist but...
Repoter: (Interrupting) Oh, so I should make sure I inform my readers that whatever you're about to say more than likely has no scientific validity. Thank you, Senator. Proceed.
And if they won't answer a question put to them, the reporter/interviewer should say something like, "Thank you for your time, Senator, but if you can't answer our simple questions, it's not worth it - either economically or information-wise, to keep talk with you." and immediately end the interview and have the studio switch to something else.
