Sen. Menendez Defiant Amid Reports Of Looming Indictment

GARWOOD, N.J. (AP) -- U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez is reiterating he has done nothing wrong amid reports that he could soon be indicted on corruption charges.

The New Jersey Democrat spoke to reporters Monday at a factory where he was touting new legislation aimed at hiring military veterans.

Menendez has been investigated over his relationship to a Florida ophthalmologist and friend who made political donations.

A person familiar with the investigation told The Associated Press this month that criminal charges were expected to be filed in coming weeks. Some reports have said that may happen this week.
