A Long Island woman was detained in a Harlem mental institution for eight days for claiming, among other things, that President Barack Obama followed her on Twitter even though he does.
According to The Daily News Stephen Rex Brown, last year Kam Brock attempted to retrieve a car that the New York Police Department had seized.
When she walked into the NYPDs Public Service Area 6 stationhouse, she was, by her own admission, emotional, but insisted that she was by no means emotionally disturbed.
The NYPD disagreed they handcuffed her and sent her to the hospital.

The cops seized her car because they thought she was high. Even though a search yielded nadda.
she went to get her car the next day and as a way to show she is responsible, claimed Obama followed her on twitter. She thought they would actually use a brain cell and come to the conclusion the president would not follow a crazy person. Instead they arrested her.
She also was not believed when she told them she worked at a bank- she does.

It also notes patients weaknesses: inability to test reality, unemployment.
