Good luck to them. They deserve to be isolated from the international community for this, and treated with derision, just as America's standing fell in the world after we elected Bush for the second time.

up until the election he kept saying he wasn't getting rid of rumsfeld, wasn't getting rid of rumsfeld...immediately following the election he got rid of rumsfeld. when asked why he'd been lying he just shrugged and said it was an election - do you think even one of the reporters there followed up on that? fuck no. it's okay to lie if it's politics apparently. and sometimes i think i am the only person on the face of the earth who is enraged by that kind of dishonesty.
