Martin O'Malley: "This is not how our economy is supposed to work. I don't buy it."

watch:

"Bonuses on Wall Street alone were twice what every American mom and dad working full time at minimum wage brought home combined. This is not how our economy is supposed to work. I don't buy it."

Sometimes things like this shouldn't be "over-produced". Just let the man state his position.

Being an ex-Marylander, I think he'd make a great president. Being a Vermonter, I don't think Bernie is able to end up at the finish line. Being a Democrat, I'll vote for Hillary or anyone who can prevent the Uglicans from winning and filling the SCOTUS with more Scalia/Thomas's and Alito's.

If the hokesters from the RWNJ party can get 15-20 clowns to run for president, can't the dems get at least 4-5 qualified/educated people to advance science and humanity?

until you have democracy in the economy. Allowing capital to rule the economy is a recipe for an oligarchy.

We need to tax the uber rich and corporations to death and rid ourselves of a capitalist economy.

I agree with most of what you've said, however, I'm okay with a capitalist economy... provided it is heavily regulated through powerful socially minded regulations. For example, I'd love to see all drug commercials removed from any and all media. Corporations should be required to forfeit any and all profits made from fraudulent activity. They should also be required to pay double damages, on top of the cost for cleanup, whenever damaging the environment.

But perhaps most important? Get money out of politics! Gut k street.

Perhaps make it illegal for corporations to have lobbyists. Broaden the definition of bribery and create a citizen-based oversight agency with the power to incarcerate any politician (including supreme court judges) who accept bribes under that broader redefinition.

Just a few thoughts on it.
