NYT: US chose better Path to recovery

This article is well worth the read as it clearly and concisely makes a case for the steps the US took over the last 4 years. Though it is not a perfect match, the Republicans were recommending actions that would have been closer - and in fact worse - than what the Europeans did. Though there is ample reason not to like him, this does - to some degree vindicate actions Geitner's recommendations.

It also rejects succinctly many of the Republican "created CW" themes like Fannie Mae and Freddie Max entirely caused the 2008 crash.
