Film found of Rahm Emanuel protesting Nazis at 18.

Here’s shirtless Rahm Emanuel protesting neo-Nazis when he was 18

In 1978, a shirtless 18-year-old Rahm Emanuel demonstrated against a neo-Nazi rally in Chicago, and a few brief seconds were caught on camera.

The future Chicago mayor was spotted in the documentary Marquette Park II by Chicago Reader managing editor Jake Malooley when re-watching it recently (you can see the footage here. Emanuel appears at the 23:56 mark). Neo-Nazis gathered in the park but were met by a group of Jewish people and activists protesting their rally. In the footage, Emanuel looks at the camera and asks "Can you get out of here, man?"

As Malooley pointed out, the cameo is significant because it's one of the few images of Emanuel as a young adult and one of the few looks at his involvement in activism.

Obama certainly did not. Running Chicago is complicated with a diverse set of groups vying for city favors and services. Often those groups are in opposition to each other. You may live in a world of hard edges. I don't.

5. As of January he had 30 million in his war chest to defeat Chuy. Why does he need so much

and who is he going to be beholding to when he's re-elected? Lets think.....same billionaires and CEO's who bought the election for King Bruce? Just gave it out of the goodness of their hearts? Working people and their unions support Chuy.

Rham is "Pay to play". Same ole crap as his predecessor.

Chuy lives in a real neighborhood in a bungalow, Rahm on a block of million dollar mansions - Wilmette plopped down in the city.

I don't like Rham, I don't think he is a good person and I don't trust him.

3536 S. Lowe Ave. as you may know. So I am not especially impressed with that. Some unions, namely the SEIU and Teachers Union, support Chuy. Dozens of unions have also expressed their support for Rahm. http://www.chicagotogether.org/blog/campaign-updates/press-release-70-local-unions-endorse-mayor-rahm-emanuels-re-election/

I think Chuy is a good guy but his weakness has been is inability to explain how he would pay for his proposed programs.

8. I commend him for being anti-Nazi but it doesn't change the fact that he declared war on the public

I commend him for being anti-Nazi but it doesn't change the fact that he declared war on the public school system.

There are quite a few people who I would stand with to fight Nazis, but who in all other respects are shitheads who would sell us out.
