Malloy is being a leader, and we need leaders to condemn the callous and the ridiculous actions of Mike Pence.

Mike Pence is a leader - in leading Indiana off a cliff!

He did say that (paraphrasing) there could be some issues with CT state university athletic teams not being within the control of this ban, but even if that isn't settled, it's a good move.

and of course the Huskies will get there. Geno doesn't do fail...and the entire state loves the guy to the point of adoration (with Yankee moderation of course!).

And, of course, UConn will make it there. There's few challengers in women's college basketball. So boring.

I guess you can me when you win like he does.
His BS interviews annoy me.
Props to him for building the program into the national power it is, and being able to get the nation's best players to come play for a school on a farm in NE CT, but I really don't think he's all that great of a coach.

obviously, he's been very successful, I just think he's a better recruiter than coach. He gets the nations best players. You and I can coach most of those teams and be successful.

28. You were right! Gov. Inslee has indeed banned state financed travel to Indiana:
Mon Mar 30, 2015, 11:35 PM
Mar 2015

Governor Inslee released this statement earlier today:

"I find Indiana’s new law disturbing, particularly at a time when more and more states and people in America are embracing civil rights for everyone. Washington will join other states and cities in opposing this law and I will impose an administration-wide ban on state funded travel to Indiana.

"Indiana’s law appears to legalize private discrimination. Washington state fought against this very thing in a case Attorney General Bob Ferguson brought against a florist.

"We in Washington stand for equality. I applaud those companies and organizations that have spoken out against the law and said they would not locate or expand operations in Indiana. I want to invite all those organizations, and anyone interested in a state that promotes equality and opportunity, to come visit Washington. We are open for business, and open to all people."

I knew it was only a matter of time before the Governor would step up and assert Washington State values.

I'm calling his office tomorrow morning to thank him, and for making us proud.
