I have honestly never seen such an unbelievable and amazing display against discrimination. And against a group that is still so discriminated against.

Makes me want to cry. I am so happy. And I hope this helps kids not fear coming out. No one should have to feel like they belong in the closet

"Why not simply repeal RFRA? First, it appears to be politically unacceptable for the governor and many Republican lawmakers."

since the intent of the law is indeed to DISCRIMINATE, "fixing it" will f*** up their wishes

and they are by and large stupider and more radical than even Pence. (A couple of years ago we had a state senator that wanted to ban the girl scouts because of their radical lesbian agenda). Most of these guys are from rural parts of the state that are 90% Republican. Their only fear politically is someone nuttier than they are giving them a primary challenge. And, for the most part they could give a damn about convention business in Indianapolis or high tech jobs. They are far more focused on the rapture than the economy. It will take an election to get a repeal, and a massive groundswell of voters that have heretofore never really mobilized in most parts of this state. I'm encouraged by the backlash, but I'm not so sure it translates into votes. We'll see.

Yes, there's plenty of political and economic posturing going on, but the full scope of this is breathtaking.

May this happen wherever and whenever it's deserved. I love watching this unfold.

I do not hope for much form Pence. He has a long history of being hostile to gays!

...We urge Gov. Pence and lawmakers to stop clinging to arguments about whether RFRA really does what critics fear; to stop clinging to ideology or personal preferences; to focus instead on fixing this.

Governor, Indiana is in a state of crisis. It is worse than you seem to understand.

You must act with courage and wisdom. You must lead us forward now. You must ensure that all Hoosiers have strong protections against discrimination.

The laws can co-exist. And so can we.

.... although I suspect, in my heart of hearts, that it's about the DOLLA BILLZ, Y'ALL ... not about repealing a POS law that hurts everyone it touches.
