Ok sure their governor and elected officials are an asshole. And clearly many of their voters couldn't be bothered to show up at the polls last November to even vote. That's another discussion.
But when this law passed, Indiana citizens took to the streets against this HATE bill. (I don't like calling it just Anti-LGBT because if it discriminates against one class of people it discriminates against all and to me that is a HATE bill. ) They knew the entire country was rallying against their state and they did all they could to show that they were better than a HATE law passed by their idiot governor and idiotic congress. They made sure the rest of the country knew that Indiana was open to all people and everyone was served.
Sure I heard a few stories of store owners grateful they could practice HATE at their business. But those store owners were too chickenshit to give out their name or place of business. Like their predecessors before them, these people wanted to hide in their own 'White Hoods and Sheets' of anonymity for fear the public would discover that their business was practicing HATE.
But those businesses that wanted to serve everyone spoke out with pride and were willing to tell everyone who they were and how to find them. It's funny how when you are open for business for everyone you don't have to hide.
So I do have to say this - I hope the people of Indiana have learned their lesson make sure you remember to VOTE. And not just in 2016 because it's a Presidential election but EVERY SINGLE election. Because when you don't bother to vote you get the idiots elected by those who do take the time to vote.
Edit Note: Updated to Hoosiers since this dummy from Delaware didn't know any better. Sorry

(95,337 posts)You can google that.
And that 36% was the lowest since WWII.
And the democrats suck as reliable voters which the republicans know. Toss in some harsh Voter ID laws along with gerrymandering and the GOP knows that even as their overall number decreasing they can still control the bulk of government in this country. So what if they can't win President - they can win everything else.
