Howard Dean lines up behind Netanyahu and Tom Cotton on Iran nuclear talks

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/237593-howard-dean-obama-should-walk-away-from-iran-talks

I think John Kerry and Barack Obama are far, far too eager for a deal with Iran, and could actually get a better deal if they walked away from the table and possibly came back later,” Scarborough said. “Why am I wrong, Howard?”

I actually think you’re right about this,” Dean replied, prompting an outburst of surprise from Scarborough.

Dean said the U.S. already had the upper hand in talks with Iran. By holding out on finishing them, he said the White House could secure a better deal for U.S. interests.

“The United States is negotiating from a much stronger position than four years ago,” Dean said.

“These guys are desperate to get rid of the sanctions,” he added, pointing out Tehran’s hunger for immediate economic relief.

This is exactly what Tom Cotton and Netanyahu have been arguing. Either Dean wants war like they do, or he's too stupid to realize what the US unilaterally torpedoing these negotiations would mean.

Most overrated Democrat ever.

1. Dean governed as a "pragmatic moderate" (reads conservative), so this doesn't surprise me.

It also helps explain in part why he supports Hillary Clinton.

...but may play right into their hands.

He is at least pooh-poohing Iran as a threat, which is good to see.

4. Aside from Iraq, Dean has been with AIPAC and PNAC. He supported US bombing of Syria, and now

is throwing his weight against a negotiated settlement with Iran. In other words, he's with Bibi and against Obama on these issues.

The PNAC regime change doctrine and roadmap to break the traditional dominance the US and constraints America has imposed on Israel's ambitions are laid out in Richard Perle's 1996 Clean Break document: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article1438.htm

3. I listened to this exchange, I do not remember Dean lining up behind Cotton and Netanyahu,

but maybe I missed the part about Dean wanting the same as Cotton and Netanyahu. There is too much jumping up and down, if Obama and Kerry were the only interested parties they may do things differently but they are not. It would be in the best interest of Israel to get a deal where Iran does not get nuclear weapons and Netanyahu is the loudest against a treaty, WTH.

5. He is talking about a negotiating tactic and negotiations with Iran.

Not war. The difference couldn't be more night and day. I am pretty sure just about every single poster here has questioned the administrations ability to negotiate. What he said has nothing to do with Netanyahu or Cottons position.
