http://www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-girl-scout-sells-cookies-pot-clinic-20140221-story.htmlIt's that time of year again. Time when your local market entrances are flooded with Girl Scouts selling boxes of Samoas, Tagalongs and Thin Mints. But one 13-year-old Girl Scout in San Francisco and her mother made a rather business-savvy decision to sell cookies outside of a medical marijuana dispensary.
On Monday, Danielle Lei and her mother set up shop outside the Green Cross store with the cookies. With the store's blessing, Lei sold 117 boxes in two hours.
Holli Bert, a spokeswoman for the Green Cross, said that after just 45 minutes, Lei had to call for backup cookies to replenish her stock.
"You put it in terms that they may understand," Lei's mother, Carol, told Mashable. "I'm not condoning it, I'm not saying go out in the streets and take marijuana. It also adds a little bit of cool factor. I can be a cool parent for a little bit."

(3,747 posts)The Boy Scouts, while one of the best things I did, was and is a horrible organization. I have never seen more cruelty between children than I did there.

(3,747 posts)A little bit better, in my opinion--it has a bit heavier feel, and it felt more refined. And significantly stronger, which is saying something as GSC was a fantastic strain. The original GSC was the first strain I ever got seriously high on--fond memories

(14,176 posts)The truth is, though, that I almost only smoke sativas, but a good hybrid is a possibility for a change of pace. For the past couple months I've been smoking Lamb's Bread, which is just deliciously earthy and has a nice, alert, energetic high. Before that Tangie...also just lovely.

(3,747 posts)If you're into sativas, I'd suggest some Jack Herer. I had some a couple weeks ago that was downright incredible--a huge body high that was somehow mentally crisp and clear, and very physically energetic. I haven't had Lamb's Bread before, but it sounds good. I like earthy strains. So happy that I have a vape now, all the subtleties of the flavors come through so much better. I had some Blackberry Kush a while back that was delicious...had a very definite berry flavor with notes of jet fuel and earthy-ness, which has always been a taste I've liked. It smelled super dank, too--the room I was in stank just from opening the jar
Is tangie tangerine, or a different strain altogether? Been a while since I've tried that, I might pick some up again if it's alert enough. I've been avoiding the heavy indicas for the most part, as I was fairly disappointed in the Grandaddy Purp that I had a month ago (though I had some from a grow last year that was unbelievably dense, crystally as clothes bedazzled by an overly passionate 4 year old, and the only strain I've ever had that was strong enough to get me seeing open-eye visuals. Mindblowing stuff.)

(14,176 posts)here it is: http://www.leafly.com/sativa/tangie
I've also had a strain called Tangie Jack, which is Tangie crossed with Jack Herer. Also very good, but not as good IMO as straight Tangie
BTW, I was looking for a marijuana group on here the other day--I've really only gotten back into weed in the past 9 months after many years away from it, so I wanted to commiserate with other fans--and was surprised to discover there isn't one, despite all the weed fans on here.

(3,747 posts)I'm definitely up for that, how does one go about this? I'll happily be a mod on it.
Also, that tangie one looks really good. I'll keep my eyes open for it.

(14,176 posts)I think the process is that you have to have X number of starred members saying they want a group, but I forget the is and outs of it. I think it would be fun to have a group. There needs to be a group description, which I guess should say something about it bein a group to discuss things like laws, products, strains, etc.

(3,747 posts)I'm realizing it might not be best for me to be a mod in it, at least not for a while. For...reasons. But yeah, let me think about this for a bit. I'll get back to you, maybe toss a thread in GD about it.
Also, MineralMan was kind enough to let me know that we just have to go to ATA and ask them after getting enough interest. He's unsure about the numbers as well.

(8,812 posts)Old stories are regularly re-posted without any clear indication that they're old, giving many the false impression that they're brand new.
It's not that they aren't good stories and aren't worth reading again. Many are. But I think a little truth in labeling wouldn't hurt so people can place them in the proper perspective.
