Thu Apr 2, 2015, 05:34 PM
Apr 2015

Obama: In the coming days and weeks, my administration will engage Congress once again about how we can play -- how it can play a constructive oversight role. I'll begin that effort by speaking to the leaders of the House and the Senate today.

In those conversations, I will underscore that the issues at stake here are bigger than politics. These are matters of war and peace. And they should be evaluated based on the facts, and what is ultimately best for the American people and for our national security. For, this is not simply a deal between my administration and Iran. This is a deal between Iran, the United States of America and the major powers in the world, including some of our closest allies.

Once relations are normalized, outside parties will have access to Iran's internal documents. At least some of them. The ones that get Republican pnties in a bunch will be the ones documenting Reagan's deal with them to keep the hostages until after he defeated Carter in the 1980 election. This will look less than perfect for St. Ronald and Republicans will do anything within their power to prevent it from happening. That includes war.

Arms deal. I sat in a benihana restaurant talking to a group from SA who was elated about Reagans election and how things was going to change. Didn't know what was going to change at the moment but it was revealed later. There was a lot of crap happening and had happened like Daddy Bush pushing for Saddam in Iraq but the Bushes are always shielded.

St Ronnie is St. Ronnie.

You could drum up pictures of his engaging in intimate acts with boy scouts and it would not change that for republicans and this country at this point.

They oppose this because of deranged partisanship.

It is no more complicated that than.

That Barrack Obama wants it is ground enough for them to take a shit on it.

That it is something that he comes off looking good over ramps it up 100 times over.

those hateful fuckers will go out of their way to ensure that war is the answer. Their insanity is beyond control at this point which leads me to think that Bibi will go forth and start bombing and expect the US to finish the job and clean up the mess along with more US $$ to flow into their pretend defense fund. Mind you, every cent we send to Bibi's colony is regarded as "fungible" which means they can use it for whatever they want regardless of what it was labeled for by us. So much of our $$ goes toward their nuclear program, war machine and all those illegal settlements.

The cast of KKKLowns (the 47) will never allow this to go smoothly and they will go to great lengths to sabotage the whole thing, trust me, it's all about what the RWNJs want and nothing other than starting another war (here or abroad, either will work as a game plan) will do for them because the MIC beast and fascism must be fed fresh innocent blood on a regular basis or they will kill the world they've already broken.

This nuclear deal framework with Iran is the first time since 2001 that I have had any hope for this country. This is the first good thing
and tears are in my eyes to think that this could really happen. It is a giddy feeling, daring to hope. I visited Iran in 2008 with a group of Peace Corps returnees who had served in Iran. What a great country it is, so modern and so much like us.

I am writing and calling my congresspersons to make sure they are on the side of Peace. And I am calling Chuck Schumer as well to let him know that now that he will be leader of the senate, that I want him to serve the interests of the U.S. and not some foreign power.

We need to get those phones ringing off the hook to support this agreement. There is joy and possibility and hope after more than a decade of hate, war and deep cynicism. I am going to throw a party.

That this is not an agreement between the US and Iran. This is a treaty between China, and the US. So If the congress wants to start a fuck fest with China, we , meaning you and I , are the population at risk.

A train wreck is exactly what the situation in the middle east is.

Much of the recent issues belong to Bush & Cheney with help from Israel's PM Netanyahu who said back in 2002, “If you take out Saddam’s regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region." How can conservatives be SO WRONG almost ALL of the time?! Misguided ideology perhaps..
