Do you see Albert Einstein or Marilyn Monroe?

The test that may show how good your vision is

Ever wonder how good your eyesight is? Dr. Audee Olivia, from MIT, produced an image that may provide you with an answer. The person you see in the image could determine if you need glasses, or stronger glasses.

The video was posted from ASAPScience explains that if you’re at a normal viewing distance from the screen and have decent vision then you should see Albert Einstein. But, if you’re seeing Maralyn Monroe then you may want to consider seeing the eye doctor.

If you’re wearing glasses, try taking them off and the image might change.

I SEE DEAD PEOPLE....................... THERE I SAID IT FIRST
BUT WITH MY GLASSES ON I SEE ALBERT, OFF JUST A LITTLE MARILYN

?w=770&h=426

According to KTVI, the effect can be seen by anyone if you change the distance or size of the picture. If you’re seeing Marilyn Monroe, you are more likely to be farther away from the image. This is because our eyes only pick up the broad strokes of an image from a distance.

Once you get closer then you will see the finer details.

The further away you are seeing Albert Einstein, then the better your eyes actually are.

Try squinting at the photo, you can achieve the same effect.

I wear tri-focal lens and have for years.

And severe myopia is a definite risk factor for detached retina.

Get thee to an ophthalmologist immediately if a dark cloud suddenly descends on your eyesight in one eye! A delay could cost you your eyesight!

I also have severe myopia, though actually, it has improved as I have gotten older. I wear multifocal contacts, though, and my vision is so sharp with them that I forget and take them for granted.

It's also rather useful that if there is something so tiny that no one else can read it that all I have to do is float one of my contacts to the side, hold it close to my face, and I can read anything!

Without glasses my near vision is crap, and I can't hold the thing far away enough to see MM. Glasses on or off.

So I leaned it up against the wall on the kitchen counter walked across the room and took a look. Nope, still Einstein.
