How the hell do they get the false narrative out there?

Republicans. How do they do it?

1. Acting like Voter ID is necessary to prevent non-existent voter fraud?

2. Acting like Religious Freedom Acts are not a cover for deep prejudice?

Does this happen instinctively? Or is it a whisper strategy?

You would think if there were some secret meetings somewhere where the PTB said, "Ok, we are going to act like we are for X but really it's for Y" it would leak out at some point (i.e. 47% meeting).

think it would actually take an overt message/plan to execute it - without someone
turning rogue and spilling the beans about it. No?

We know darn well about some of these things, to describe them makes one sound like a conspiracy theorist nut, but we know they happen.

Examples:
Fox News has spin meetings, they plan the news stories and the angles and the guests with an agenda. If anyone ever present told about the meetings, it wouldn't make the news and, if it did, not many people would care.
But it doesn't make the big news because, ya know, it's all owned by the same few megacorps and the Kardashian story will beat your story.

Car manufacturers with a safety issue make internal decisions about the cost to recall models vs the cost to cover injuries and deaths. Nobody cares.

Remember the movie about big tobacco, RJ reynolds? That movie kind of exposed that one industry.

Maybe we need a really good movie to be made about the scandalous media that you're calling out.

That I can imagine happening!

And the meetings aren't so secret. I remember reading about regular high-level conservative meetings to define media talking points.

like the local news reporting about high gas prices and always ALWAYS using phrases like "since Obama took office". Repeat it for high unemployment rates as well.

THEN when gas prices fell and they talked about it, not once did they use the word Obama. Same for unemployment. *I'm* not saying he has a direct influence on these things but the news people tend to imply it when things are bad but not when they are good.

into the GOP cult. There effect on gay people and others is of lesser importance than the real prize which is the use of the ability to use the resulting wedge issue in elections. Horrid discrimination and it's I'll effects are just side effects to the GOP. Which is racist in its own way.
