The Avenges is awesome! (And Shia Labeouf is a cannibal.)

But I'm going to start with a different topic.

I went to one of my daughters' choir performances. She's a freshman but at the end, the director singled out the seniors for recognition.

Nearly a hundred seniors and he had something to say about each and every one. Needless to say, it was a tedious end to an overlong choir performance.

HOWEVER, about one of the seniors he said something like this: "I knew {name] was going to be special when I first saw him in 8th grade and he was wearing an Obama t-shirt."

And the kid walked out waving his hand just as a politician would. (Wish I'd remembered his name so I could vote for him.)

And I thought, how awesome that I am in an area and my daughters are in a school district where teachers aren't afraid to speak their minds -only to a certain extent, I'm sure but still...

Anyways, The Avengers movie was awesome! Nearly 2 and a half hours long but worth it.

And as for Shia Labeouf, there is an Internet ditty going the rounds which sings about his inherent evilness because, you see, he's an actual cannibal. It's pretty funny. Even Shia tweeted something to that effect.

Just thought I'd share with DU what passes for life in St. Louis among the younger set these days. (As much as they let me know, anyways.)
