If Warren doesn't want to run for president,

why on earth would she want to run for vice president? She would lose all her growing clout in the Senate, be relegated to the back seat in terms of administrative policy decisions, and be way too old after 8 years to run for president on her own (she is Hillary's age). I don't get why people keep pushing this as a realistic possibility.

But as long as the GOP controls the senate she will do nothing they don't want done in terms of actual legislation.

And as long as we field candidates that never offer the voters any real change the GOP will continue to win elections.
I would think that history would have made that clear, but it has not.

And Julian Castro is the best bet, since he forces Republicans to spend oodles of money defending Texas. It's the kind of triangulation a Clinton executes as second nature.

There is not much power there at all and the VP is very much expected to tow the line for the POTUS, whomever it may be.
Cheney was an aberration, both as an alleged human being and a VP. He only wielded power because Bush was weak and wanted him to IMO.

needed by the presidential candidate. If either Sen Warren or Sen Sanders wins the nomination they should choose someone like O'Malley or maybe Chaffee.

As far as Cheney goes, I really wonder if Georgie has figured out exactly how he was manipulated by his Poppy. I think the BFEE wanted Georgie to be the figurehead and Cheney actually wielding the power. They suggested to Georgie that Richard "Little Dick" Cheney could be a big help finding the right vp. All along planning on Cheney picking himself. I doubt that Georgie ever figured it out.

is one nearly always given to those in the Senate with a great deal of seniority, in fact I can't remember a time when it was given to a relative new comer to the Senate.

Good idea, but not how the Senate works.

The Senate is truly a good old boys and girls club. You have to pay your dues in time and party loyalty. She just hasn't been around long enough.

...Warren will be tied to all of Clinton's baggage. Not just the Wall Street loyalty, but all the scandals that will ensue---the Bengahzi nonsense, the incredibly inept decision to have a private email as Secretary of State, the Clinton Foundation donations. Not to mention how she has little or no Senate accomplishments and rarely showed up. Clinton is an empty suit with a D after her name.
Doubt she'd want the real Democrat always standing next to her.

likely Castro, McNally or someone in that vein. A dem up & comer. There is no way on earth the party would run 2 women when we've never even successfully elected a female VP much less a president. That's just reality. I personally wish it would be Elizabeth as the candidate rather than Hillary, but I'll take what I can get.
