Decrease student debt?
Affordable education?
On and on and on...he's campaigning on everything the GOP-Baggers are against.
Sadly, they'll eat it up, although the applause lines seemed to be rather forced. And he sounds like he needs a drink of water...he's flubbing all his best TV-spot sound bytes.

(28,349 posts)Sounds like he brought in his own people to cheer him on. Also, the cheers all sound like the same small group on the left making the high pitched cheers.
If anyone was counting, he took 3 sips of water.
Oh yea, yesterday's over.

(14,971 posts)the GOP moves toward the center and tries to appear moderate. After they're elected , it's back to extremist/whackjob Tea Party/Libertarian bullshit. My teabagger Governor does the same thing.

(15,810 posts)not so subtly went after Hillary's age, and referred to our "hollowed out military" thus cleaving to the baggers' vision.

(14,449 posts)I am sure she will have answers to the age thing. However I will NEVER believe Cruz is only 44. He looks 70 at least. I am 45 and look 18 next to him.

(42,769 posts)That means he's finished as Florida Senator. And AFAIC he has
as much of a chance as a snowball in hell of going any further.
But he'll have all that sweet campaign cash to loll about in. He probably adopt Hispanic Republican Presidential Candidate as a lifestyle and run again and again.

(31,464 posts)They peddle books, they peddle pizzas, they peddle speaking engagements. They don't ever expect to get elected. But it sure rakes in a lot of cash from the bedazzled Tea Baggers and the Koch Brothers, as they free advertising time on all the major "news" networks, especially Fox.

And taking a cue from his old bud and roommate David Rivera, he can turn running for political office into a major source of income and free publicity for his brand (ya' know..The Palatable Hispanic).
Worth abandoning his Senate seat for I guess.
