Happy Tax Day!

You and me, together as one nation in the 21st century*, we really really need that 12th aircraft carrier.

If you happen by a major grocery or retail store today realize that you not only have already paid for anything made with corn, wheat, soybean, or cotton but you probably are paying some of the wages for the people who work there.

As a Massachusetts resident, I want to take just a moment of this day to say:

a loud FUCK YOU to Bushco for ruining the name and nature of Patriots Day;

a loud FUCK YOU to the Koch Brothers for ruining the name of the Boston Tea Party (a bit tarnished anyway, but nothing like now);

a loud FUCK YOU to Sarah Palin for pretending touring Boston's Freedom Trail lessened your profound ignorance of the history of this country; and

a loud FUCK YOU to the Tsarnaev brothers.

I now return you to celebration of Patriots Day and to the Boston Marathon. May nothing every happen again to tarnish their names.

Rare because i've been doing taxes on line for years. (I had them done professionally the year my mom died, but that's the only time.)

Somehow or other, the Illinois rejected my return and i couldn't fix it with the software. And i have a refund coming. So, i had to print it out and mail it in so i can get the check in 6 weeks!

The federal return was without issue. We got our refund over a month ago.
