The OP is a friend of mine. She speaks fluent French and I've seen some attempts at intimidation posted in replies to her.

These do not reflect well on the members who post them, and I write this to warn them (not so much you), that I will defend anyone who is treated poorly due to their communication techniques.

I speak 4 languages, French being one of them (French, Russian, Spanish, and English). 2-I know about Bush using that phrase, I was referring to which Dems are using it. I asked for links, that's all.

You might have missed them, but members have on occasion tried to mock and intimidate this member.

And so far the poster has still not given links.

It's the beginning of election period, things are likely to get a bit robust around here, and I reckon the alerter needs to develop a thicker skin and not hit the alert button so readily. Real personal attacks happen on DU on a daily basis, and too many are allowed to stand by juries. This isn't one of them.

It's a fact that this is old, old ground being retrodden on this thread, as it was at interminable length by mylye2222 on the thread linked to, among vast numbers of times during her time on DU, which would try the patience of a saint.

When a Hillary supporter claims that one of us is helping the Republicans, that we should be supporting the presumed Democratic candidate, it is the same thing.

The exact same thing as GWBs admonition.
