Why Improve Infrastructure When You Plan To Sell It Off To Lowest Bidders.

The dirtiest little secret about the GOP agenda is that they will NEVER NEVER improve infrastructure. And the worst part of this secret is that it is up for sale to whoever is willing to buy it. So under their control the bridge you cross and pay a toll on in the future might even be owned by China, India, or even some terrorist organization.

Look at their rhetoric and you get the message. And the obstruction is about waiting until you have control And after that water systems, sewage systems, road systems, bridges et al will go on the block to private corporations. We already see what has happened to some expressways. Look at the parking meters in Chicago. And look at the NW Parkway in Colorado.

The voter eventually won't own anything. Look at the rhetoric about getting rid of our national parks and giving them back to the states to do what they will. So someday you might go into Rocky Mountain National Park, Yoesemite, Yellowstone, or the Grand Canyon and pay to get in with the profits going overseas somewhere.

We need to wake up on this issue. And WE MUST UNDERSTAND WHY THE GOP WILL NOT SPEND A PENNY ON INFRASTRUCTURE.
Why would you when you intend to privatize it all even to someone like the Saudis.

It's probably not JUST the financial community that seldom seems to think beyond the next quarterly earnings. But it certainly fits with their idea of success. It's just this whole overriding philosophy of "government BAAAAD". The private sector can do it better! Run it all like a BIZniss! The government shouldn't be in charge of ANYTHING, well, except war-making. The GOP would sell everything off. Our national parks. Our monuments. EVERYTHING.

One simple reason for keeping the republic-CONS as far OUT of power, at every level, as it's humanly possible to do. Just on general principles. When you hand things over to the private sector, all those folks are interested in is profit. Prices go up, workers' benefits go down. So it's gonna come down to the Golden Rule for business - "spend less, keep more/cheaper is better." Government has to be there to cover a whole lot of what we need as a population, as a society - that isn't single-mindedly about making a profit. Like nature preserves, regulations to keep the playing field even and the game fair - IF INDEED we do believe in "liberty and justice for ALL, not just the rich.
