Google doodle celebrates the most famous picture of the Loch Ness monster - April 21, 1934

April 21, 1934, the world discovered one of the first pictures of the Loch Ness monster. Google pays tribute to this hoax with a doodle.

The Google doodle reminds us that one of the first (fake) photos of the Loch Ness monster was published on April 21, 1934.

On the occasion of this anniversary, the search engine honors the deception with a little animation, where you can see aliens pilot a submarine bearing the image of the famous monster.

As for the 1934 photo, taken by Robert Wilson, it was only a decorated miniature submarine. This sophomoric joke was revealed in 1975 by an article in the Sunday Telegraph. The Loch Ness monster was never found, but in her legend, she remains immortal.
