WATCH: US Marshal goes berserk smashing woman’s phone for recording him on public sidewalk

A U.S. Marshal reportedly snapped and violently destroyed a woman’s cellphone while she was recording a group of law enforcement officers who were standing on a public sidewalk near Los Angeles.

In a YouTube video dated April 19, someone apparently positioned across the street from the incident captured video of a woman who was recording a group of men wearing tactical gear in South Gate, California.

The woman can be seen talking to the officers and recording them while they seemed to be ignoring her.

Eventually, a man carrying an assault rifle and wearing a different style of tactical gear walks toward the woman. As she backs up, he lunges at her, grabbing her cellphone with both hands. There is a brief struggle for the phone, but the man easily overpowers the woman and slams the device to the ground.

The phone can be heard smashing on the concrete sidewalk. The officer then kicks the phone at the woman, causing the person operating the camera to gasp.

2. Reporter isn't reporting accurately. THAT IS NOT A UNIFORM being worn by the person assaulting

the woman.

Those are blue jeans not a uniform. His torso seems covered by a camo sweatshirt or shirt. It's not possible from the vidie to see if the bulletproof vest says on it's back "US MARSHALL" which it WOULD if it was a true uniform.

This story shouldn't be accepted as reported

If that's what you're implying because we all saw the video.

The armed figure with in the vest with the police paraphernalia assaults the woman, steals her cell phone and then destroys it in front of the other uniformed officers.

He is not immediately arrested by the uniformed officers for the multiple crimes he committed in front of them so he must be one of them, jeans or not.

They'll nitpick over minutia to drive the conversation away from the topic at hand or smear the victim.

Its a sick cult.

5. According to the video, the man is in uniform...which is just not true

there isn't an agency in the nation that uses denim as a uniform.

I don't have any reason to doubt the assailant is a non-uniformed US marshall

12. Well why are you trying to make it seem he's not a LEO?

Because he was wearing jeans.

Why even bother with those posts if you know, just as we all do, that the guy assaulting the woman and stealing and destroying her cell phone is a law enforcement officer — out of control.
