Allen West ties modern day football injuries to lack of prayer.

Because his God is an angry, petty God who injures kids that don't pray I guess.

Former Congressman Allen West spoke in Texas yesterday, and at one point connected prayer to a lack of football injuries. West talked at great length about the separation of church and state and how today the state is “persecuting people for their religious brliefs.”

West talked about a secular group that wanted the University of Tennessee to stop public prayer before football games. West said when he played football in high school, they held a prayer before every game, and on top of that, they didn’t have all the necessary gear on them.

“I don’t remember catastrophic injuries,” he said. “I don’t remember anyone getting carted off that field, paralyzed. See, there’s something about the power of prayer.”

...Satan is the nasty one, who causes evil stuff (injuries). He needs to read about Jesus, who never said a nasty word about football.

And I doubt any football player is more committed to praying than he is.

Fail.
