Comcast Backs Away from Deal with Time Warner – Thanks Sen Sanders

Comcast intends to give up on its $45 billion takeover of Time Warner Cable, according to reports published on Thursday.
Sen. Bernie Sanders was among six senators who sent a letter on Tuesday to the Federal Communications Commission and Justice Department saying the combined company’s “unmatched power in the telecommunications industry would lead to higher prices, fewer choices, and poorer quality services for Americans.” The senators urged regulators to reject the merger that would have united the country’s two largest cable operators and reshaped video and broadband markets.
