Where's the outrage? - FBI agent in sworn deposition: Petraeus lover accessed his emails

FBI agent in sworn deposition: Petraeus lover accessed his emails

Paula Broadwell had regular access to CIA Director David Petraeus's emails and may have continued to examine them even after an FBI investigation had already begun in the months leading up to the 2012 presidential election, an FBI agent said in a deposition last month.

According to a redacted transcript of the deposition, obtained by POLITICO, FBI Agent Fred Humphries said Petraeus was asked at least twice to change his password because unauthorized access was taking place to his account. Initially, agents didn't know who had penetrated the retired general's email but eventually determined it was Broadwell, who was writing a biography about Petraeus and was also his lover for a time.

"We believed that the email had been compromised," Humphries said during sworn questioning in Tampa stemming from a lawsuit brought against the U.S. government by a Florida woman who received threatening emails from Broadwell, Jill Kelley. "His first admonishment (to change the code) was made because we didn't know who it was, and then upon learning who it was we had a conversation that that should be changed."

I think Gawker had a pretty good write up on his place in what might be the lamest Republican sex scandal, ever.

where there is such a high level of military retirees that no one will flinch. They believe that rank has its privileges and the ex-military officers exercise that right every chance they get through their private community leadership positions.
