In the House, Steve King wants to forbid Justices from ruling on marriages...

In the Senate, our old buddy Ted Cruz wants to do the same.

Ted Cruz Introduces Anti-Gay Bill Spearheaded By Radical Activist

Submitted by Brian Tashman on Friday, 4/24/2015 11:20 am

Days after attending a reception hosted by two gay hotel magnates, Sen. Ted Cruz has introduced two bills that he hopes would block a Supreme Court decision striking down bans on same-sex marriage. One bill would amend the U.S. Constitution to allow states to prohibit same-sex marriage; the other, Bloomberg News reports, “would bar federal courts from further weighing in on the marriage issue until such an amendment is adopted.” Rep. Steve King introduced a similar measure in the House this week to “strip federal courts of the ability to hear any case involving the issue of marriage equality.”

A legally binding imaginary amendment. Knowing it will never be ratified, make it legally binding without ratification.

Is that even legal?

Both efforts are not Constitutional nor would the USSC allow it. Such efforts would create undo burden of limitation of the Judicial branch of our government.

The Supreme Court is the sole body that can decide constitutional issues. It's right there in the Constitution. We have three branches of government, each with a specific role that cannot be overridden without amending the Constitution, something that is very hard to do, by design.

Cruz and King are morons, just looking for pabulum to feed their teabagger constituents.
