When Obama sends more jobs to Asia, how will you spend your new lost wages?

Not saving for retirement?

Skipping needed health care?

Demanding teachers be fired and schools closed because of lost tax base?

Eating more highly processed, uninspected fast foods sourced from... ????

Joining the military as a job?

Working longer hours?

Not taking a vacation?

Paying predatory lending fees?

Paying predatory municipal fines?

Enjoying more polluted air and water?

TPP is a job killing sack of shit, re-branded as a sparkle-fresh Democratic Party principal.

And it signifies that Democratic Party leadership has declared war against US working families.

We worked our asses off lifting the US out of one of the worst economic disasters in world history.

But it wasn't good enough. Now, we are being punished for our success.

Unlike the large multinational banks and the CEOs who perpetrated that disaster through systemic criminal fraud.

This is what class warfare looks like.

There is nothing moderate about TPP. It is extreme. Even for Republicans.

On edit: With job loss comes an opportunity to pay for essential government services through fees and fines so I didn't want to exclude this wonderful economic benefit.

teachers, road workers, construction workers, cleaning people, travel industry, restaurant workers, government workers, health care workers, sales people, and much more, are going to be outsourced to any significant extent?

Doesn't appear you've spent a lot of time thinking about this.

I suppose my job might could be outsourced. If it were, I'd find something else, might take awhile, but I would. I get it's tough for some who lose their jobs, but that's why you do something to make sure they get the help and assistance they need.

factory workers, teachers, many sales people.

I've thought about it quite a bit and never claimed that every job could be outsourced but by no means have we hit bottom and technology makes some occupations one would think is a lock to be much more precarious than most would guess.
Hell, if you can't imagine how one might outsource an accountant then I don't know what to tell you.

Loss of jobs means loss of people buying goods, which means less freight to haul around.

It also means less tax revenue, so that road worker won't have a job. Besides, less trucks mean the road upgrade can be postponed.

Travel industry and restaurant workers? Yes, the poor are well known for their extensive use of travel agents and high-priced destination travel. They also dine out all the time instead of eating out-of-date cans of beans.

Retail? Someone's got to be able to afford to buy in order to sell anything.

Skilled factory workers? Guess what! You can train people who do not live in the US to do skilled factory work! It's an amazing discovery that results in things like your iPhone being "designed in California", yet "made in China".

Teachers and government workers? No tax income. We can fire a bunch more of those to save money.

I suppose my job might could be outsourced. If it were, I'd find something else, might take awhile, but I would.

Sure, you are probably capable of asking if people would like fries with their meal. However, you will be competing with a whole lot of other people for those lovely jobs.

but that's why you do something to make sure they get the help and assistance they need.

Ah yes, remember how we were going to magically make all displaced factory workers into computer programmers when NAFTA passed? Didn't quite work out that way, did it? Must've been those lazy workers fault.

Means more jobs for port people, shippers, etc. Might mean more auto jobs with Honda, Toyota, et.. Big engineering construction companies might do more work in foreign countries, taking skilled employees with them. Those folks will return with money for homes, etc.

We might build and run hospitals overseas. Lots of things are possible, and it could be better for us and the world.

Clerical accounting might be oursourceable, but most things that require contact with clients, etc., are tougher.

I doubt much reporting goes to Vietnamese, losses there are probably due more to technology and less print media.

Most of today's job loses are due to factors other than a shipping of jobs overseas.

I could go on. What I find really troublesome about your who cares attitude is precisely that attitude.

Don't worry, I will not cry if you lose your job. Especially if that job is outsourced to India, China or Vietnam. For that matter Mexico or Canada. This attitude of yours is just freaking amazing, because I am positive this was happening under Bush, you would be the first in line to scream bloody murder and treason. But since it is a Dem, it's ok. Have I mentioned today how much I dislike rank partisans regardless of who they are?

by lying, corporate vipers pretending to be our representatives. This is a corporate coup of democracy itself, carried out by sociopaths who have traded in their humanity for some filthy money.

And to every political hack who gets a little paycheck for shilling for this predatory garbage that will destroy the lives and futures of millions of actual human beings:

Did you have a conscience to start with? Is this *really* what you are?

Do you hug your children at night with the same hands that type this slimy, viperous propaganda?
