Is it too intellectual?

(114,904 posts)to your post on urban policing? I'd like to read it.

(3,714 posts)but I think people have been conditioned by our media overlords to act this way. Wish it wasn't infecting DU, but it is.

(31,828 posts)And perhaps give your thoughts on the subject matter? What thought process did you intend to drive? We've have had many discussions about Slavery By Any Other Name among the African American members of DU. You also have a strong vocal group at DU who believe the issues are never ever about race - only about class. They would rather fellate Cornel West than ever listen to/read the words of their peers at DU. We don't matter - he does.
Now you are catching the back end of your other OP. West is looked at with derision by many AA members of DU - so the op in your other post - makes us scratch heads and say - "What's the point? Another reason to take a jab at every single black American intellectual that doesn't agree with Cornel West?"
I'm being honest. That's all. I mean no disrespect - but it does kind of appear like a 'hit job' post to get us to post outside of the AA Group on a subject matter that really doesn't impact the majority of DU'ers so it's not important to them.
Also - is it just personality? You write that - it kind of indicates that you feel/think Dyson and West have never really accomplished much in their lives. I'm probably wrong - but that's how it kind of appears . . .
