Although Obama increased taxes on the rich slightly, they are a mere fraction of what they were under Eisenhower.

Considering the age of the O'Reilly audience, you'd think they'd remember the Eisenhower tax rates.

Ok, if he just would have stopped at "sucks to be rich" and then raionalized with some of his usual empty blather, i could just chalk it up to Bill being Bill.

His fans blame government for just about everything, so they will not get mad at him for this latest statement. They will claim that he is right, if the government would just stop taxing the affluent, the business owners, and the hard workers their lives would be better. The New York Times once did a story about Republicans who were on government assistance. Most, if not all, of the people in the article claimed they wanted cuts to government programs. One man on government assistance actually said that things would be alright if the government would lower taxes on him and others like him because then they would be able to take care of themselves.
