And it is not going to be fixed with more money going into our elections. In fact, that may be the root cause of most of our problems?
And it is not going to be fixed by either of our political Parties. The majority of them are into self-preservation and power. They look at their jobs as a "career". And most of them are always looking to further their "careers".
What is the solution??
So long as the nation is divided by political Party, we are vulnerable to the "divide and conquer" strategy. With the help of the propagandists on television and radio, they (the ones with power) have a fairly easy time dividing this country.
As a general rule, Republicans cannot see themselves as similar to "Democrats" and Democrats could never see themselves as "Republicans". When, in fact, they are all in the same boat. The problem seems to lie with the consciousness of the American people. They have "allowed" themselves to be manipulated by the media propagandists.
What should be done?

(6,002 posts)things led to today's oligarchy. All the economists are saying it's true & it is not a question of dem vs gop, it is a question of the hijacking of gov't. Both sides are serving the oligarchy interest...both candidates are multinat'l, corporate owned. It took TPP to wake up the masses, hell some are still asleep & cheerleading despite their better judgment.
Money, money, money, it's a rich man's world....
