If Obama and Hillary weren't sellouts, Bernie likely wouldn't be running for president.

(32,342 posts)I'm sure he's counting on running as giving him a wider audience to make the case to the public that TPP must be opposed. It's a good strategy.

(11,589 posts)seriously, otherwise you are making presenting a false debate. It is your opinion that they are sellouts and as thus, you are creating flame bate.
I am glad that both Clinton and Sanders are in the primary.

(4,713 posts)in the name of Bernie Sanders today & to serve what purpose? The nasty bullshit rhetoric around over these politicians is nuts & definitely not helping their cause. Not any of them, I laugh at the die hard HRC supporters that are flipping out bc Sanders is an Independent yet now we have this bullshit going on. It's dumb, childish & stupid.

(4,713 posts)they think it's already a lock just based on their Facebook friends. If they only knew that trashing us younger minorities that are truly on the fence is not the way to go about it. 2016 will be the first yr my son is eligible to vote & rhetoric like this from either side isn't going to help. Especially as a young black/latino male.

If you actually are a Bernie Sanders supporter, and at the moment I kind of doubt that, wouldn't it be more productive to post an OP on why you are supporting him?

(60,339 posts)For all the Hillary haters, now have someone in your column. I was afraid that if Hillary was the only candidate that some of the haters would short circuit or something.
So now the haters can no longer complain that Hillary is the only candidate in the race.
Hope that now you have a candidate, that should said candidate not succeed in obtaining the nomination, will you vote for Hillary?
We all have been asked the opposite today a couple of times.

(3,411 posts)Washington is broken. My whole campaign has been premised from the start on the idea that we have to fundamentally change how Washington works.
"we've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope. But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope. For when we have faced down impossible odds; when we've been told we're not ready, or that we shouldn't try, or that we can't, generations of Americans have responded with a simple creed that sums up the spirit of a people: Yes we can."
"I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to. It belongs to you. It belongs to you.
I was never the likeliest candidate for this office. We didn't start with much money or many endorsements. Our campaign was not hatched in the halls of Washington. It began in the backyards of Des Moines and the living rooms of Concord and the front porches of Charleston. It was built by working men and women who dug into what little savings they had to give $5 and $10 and $20 to the cause.
It grew strength from the young people who rejected the myth of their generation's apathy who left their homes and their families for jobs that offered little pay and less sleep.
It drew strength from the not-so-young people who braved the bitter cold and scorching heat to knock on doors of perfect strangers, and from the millions of Americans who volunteered and organized and proved that more than two centuries later a government of the people, by the people, and for the people has not perished from the Earth."
Nah, instead we got Bill Clinton 2.0 with more social progressivism.
