(42,715 posts)This is from a the local Fox broadcast affiliate in Memphis. That station is owned by Cox Enterprises, not Fox and it puts together its own news programming. If this had been created by and for the Fox cable news channel or even by Fox for all its broadcast affiliates, it would have appeared in more places than Memphis. This was a screw up -- a big one -- by a local station, not by Fox (for a change).
The point of the above isnt to defend Fox, but simply to point out that if people go around blaiming this on Fox, they could end up making Fox look better than it is because, in fact, this one wasn't Fox's doing.
There's plenty of inaccurate shit on Fox News; we don't have to resort to passing along inaccurate information to make our point.
