Dog owner: Police shot pet during her rough sex with husband

A New Jersey woman said a dog that police fatally shot wasn't a threat and that her screams for help that led officers into her bedroom were because the pit bull was biting her husband while the couple was having rough sex.

Hudson County prosecutors said police responded to a report of a woman screaming for help in Jersey City Wednesday and that her husband ordered the pit bull to attack, The Jersey Journal (http://bit.ly/1FB7wY9) reported.

James Manning was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on police officers and a weapons offense. Prosecutors also say police said he reached for a knife.

But Diane Manning said that police shot the dog, Lily, while it was on top of her husband and that he never ordered it to attack.

It's a shame that the innocent dog got the worst of it, though.

You dog starts biting someone, police shoot the dog, but even though the dog was by own admission attacking someone is isn't a threat?

Huh, thats some odd logic.

You can say that time passed between the two all you like, but the fact is that you CAN'T reasonably say that a dog is 'not a threat' or is 'harmless' and then in that same sentence go and say 'it bit someone'.

.. who could have easily dealt with this domestic disturbance without guns.

It seems to me the majority of cops in the U.S.A. shouldn't be trusted with guns, tasers, or even pepper spray and police vehicles.

I've walked in on much worse than a rough sex multi-species threesome.

My grandma was much more dangerous than any pit bull, but by some miracle (and that she was a little old white lady) the cops didn't shoot her dead when she had to be removed from her home as a danger to herself and others.
