What proof do you have they aren't?
Cops, especially SWAT or other specialized police units, dress up in military gear all the time now.

Who cares if they want to play dress up on when working a security detail. The people who attended the event probably loved it.
Turns out not everyone who lives here loves our brand of freedom so they tried to impose their brand on freedom.

to be a security guard protecting them big-heavy-out-of-shape guys all dressed up in fatigues that I didn't know you could get that big.

Good eye.

Funny thing tho, is that some guys have a very huge belly hanging over a smaller part they call their waist, when their waist is really 3-6 inches higher and calls for pants with a much bigger waist measurement. Do you understand what I just struggled to say?

They may wear a confused size 36 pair of pants that doesn't have any idea of where they're supposed to be, that is, if pants could think.

18. The military skull art inspired by the punisher

Just the natural outcome of our neocon adventures.

The Punisher’s popularity among United States military personnel is evidenced by the incorporation of the character’s distinctive skull symbol into artwork generated within the military, most notably by the United States Navy’s Sea, Air, Land Teams (“Navy SEALs”) and the United States Army’s 24th Infantry Regiment. There is a long tradition – dating back to colonial times – of American military personnel using skull imagery in officially unauthorized-but-allowed insignia artwork. The Punisher’s fans in the military continue this tradition with the creation of unit insignia based on the character’s skull symbol.

Deuce Four Marking
Note the “Deuce Four Skull” painted on the wall in the bottom right corner of the picture.
The 24th Infantry Regiment’s “Deuce Four Skull” insignia is clearly based on The Punisher’s skull symbol. The 24th Infantry regiment was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, and the “Deuce Four Skull” was painted on the walls of buildings where the regiment killed enemy combatants; the symbol became a fearsome calling card for the regiment.

The Navy’s SEAL Team 3 paints The Punisher’s skull symbol on its military gear. Reporting on former SEAL Team 3 sniper Chris Kyle (who claimed to have made 255 kills, which would make him the most lethal U.S. sniper in history), the Daily Mail notes that for SEAL Team 3 the “action was enough that the members of the unit adopted the white skull of the gun-wielding comic book vigilante The Punisher. They painted the symbol on their body armor, their vehicles and even their weapons.” The New Yorker, reporting on Kyle’s death, also notes the use of The Punisher’s skull symbol by SEAL Team 3: “Kyle seemed to consider himself a cross between a lawman and an executioner. His platoon had spray-painted the image of the Punisher—a Marvel Comics character who wages ‘a one-man war upon crime’—on their flak jackets and helmets.” Kyle liked the skull symbol so much that he incorporated it into the logo of his company Craft International, which provides tactical training for military and law enforcement personnel.

No fair.

Meanwhile, in reality: the event was threatened, therefore security was present. The event was attacked, then the security reacted.

a security guard did get shot and these are real cops. The picture is from Geller's site about how cowardly the Mail is to black out the signs.

Somewhat more reliable nooz about it here:

But they say she hired a SWAT team (or someone to play a SWAT team) and probably did it to be provocative. It worked.

Geller's $50-per-person event, for which she hired a SWAT team as protection, was a display of images of the Islamic prophet, and offered a prize of $10,000 for the 'best' image of Muhammad.

Not say'in that there was monkey business, but it looks like there was.

There was a security cop shot in the leg and released from the hospital, already....at our hospital, they still wouldn't have looked at him in the emergency room. This is a major clue.

And the 2 guys shot must have come in beards and scarfs on their heads...how's they know they weren't late guests at the art contest, picture exhibition, whatever it was.

If you go to the emergency room with a cough or even a broken bone, you'll sit until they're good and ready.

But cops with gunshot wounds have priority. And maybe it grazed him. It doesn't always have to be a shot to the belly or through his chest. It'll still go out over the radio as a gunshot wound.

In fact, if an ambulance brings you, you see a doctor pretty quick, cop or not.

but following Archae's train of thought, what better place to shoot yourself than to graze a pantleg? We're just screwing around here, not solving a crime. But if a bullet has been fired, there's be no excuse to hold back.

It's the group that is doing this that bothers me. They want to stir up trouble against Islamists in this country, even though a majority of them are good citizens and are bound by their faith to defend the Prophet from all ridicule...

Two Killed in Texas After Firing on Anti-Islamist Group’s Event
Two gunmen were killed after they opened fire Sunday evening outside an event hosted by an anti-Islamist group in Garland, Tex., featuring cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, local officials said. According to the authorities, the two assailants shot a private security guard and were, in turn, shot and killed by police officers.
Officials did not give the identities of the gunmen or the security officer and did not assign a motive for the attack.
The shooting began shortly before 7 p.m. outside the Curtis Culwell Center, where organizers were hosting the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest, an event run by the American Freedom Defense Initiative, an anti-Islamist organization based in New York.

What makes more sense?

A: muslim extremists attack an exhibit mocking the prophet, as they have done many times in the past. Security is hired because the organizer knows Muslims extremists like to attack and kill blaphemers. Security kills them when they start trying to shoot up the event.

B: the organizer hires suicidal patties to very accurately shoot only one security in the leg (but just barely), then sacrifice their selves on the altar of RW "I toldyah so!"

Let me stew on it for while...
