And sometimes free speech is worthless speech.
If the only reason behind the speech is either to inflame or offend or for shock value or to get attention, if the speech is not intended to start or add to any rational conversation, if it is completely self-serving, then that in my humble opinion is "worthless speech."
Sure it's free. It's free because it's not worth a damn.
