(11,804 posts)almost certainly as the Nominee isn't it? Or near it, anyway. At any rate I can't see any set of circumstances where HRC would agree to the VP if she were still a viable candidate for the Nomination.

But if it were to happen, I wouldn't let it keep me from voting for Bernie.

(29,503 posts)THAT, I think, would be slam dunk ticket. Why didn't I think of it before, but I guess I never thought before that I'd see the day when he entered the race.

(111,098 posts)..around such a bunch of "liberals" ?
I don't think she would feel comfortable working with Bernie. Honestly, I don't think she would work well in the number 2 slot.

(16,846 posts)If Bernie picks Hillary as his running mate, all I can say is that he'd better watch his back. I think Bernie has been around long enough to know that it would be a big mistake. If he doesn't know, I would think that my assessment of his intelligence is way off.

(23,156 posts)is almost totally irrelevant. I can't recall a time when the person on the second spot on the ticket would induce me to vote for that party, or to turn my vote to the other one. Ever.
I was VERY unhappy with Joe Lieberman, but it didn't stop me from voting for Gore.
And Bernie at the top with Hillary second is a very loaded question. Will the die-hard Hillary supporters be happy with that ticket? Probably not very. But they'll vote for it anyway. Will the ones who don't like her and don't want her in the race at all still vote for that ticket? Sure. Neither group would be very happy, but they'll almost all vote for that ticket.
In any case, it's more than a year too early to be speculating about the VP pick.
Actually, I would love to see research that indicates the vice-presidential candidate actually matters to the outcome of the election.

(19,537 posts)Would probably lower the amount of corporate contributions she'd get for any future run she'd have for political office if she were to do so. Poll should have a "This wouldn't happen" option on it. I think that would win.
I think Bernie also might be concerned about him being a lot more prone to a paid assassination attempt to put her in power were she his VP then too. I certainly don't think the Clintons themselves would ever do this. Don't misconstrue my notion here. But with some of the corporate types, you'd never know what they might do to further their agendas.

(25,026 posts)The VP should be an insurance policy not a "whack me" sign.
I'd still vote for Bernie but his first command decision would be less than inspiring and probably pretty fucking stupid so it would drop him down to near lesser evil type area for being fucking stupid and half ass suicidal.
