11. I can't imagine that the average American would look at that cop and empathize with it.

She's frightening in that picture. Not doing the police force as an institution any favors with that picture that's for sure.

minds by all this killing of unarmed black people and others over such idiotic issues as we are seeing in almost every case today then she has a think coming. We no longer can trust them when this is how they think they are keeping us safe.

We went into Iraq over a bunch of lies and to steal the oil. For a long time they talked about how the military were working to win the hearts and minds of the people. But they also made the mistake of thinking violence could accomplish that goal. Today we face the blowback - ISIS.

The point I am making is that as long as the police continue these killings and then defend the killers they are going to face blowback and her life will continue to be in danger. Not from the unarmed victim but from the hate they are creating with this misguided policy. This has to stop now for the sake of both parties. Police are not going to be any safer because they are fighting a war against unarmed black men. They are just going to create more hate and put their lives in more danger.

To her and others like her, it's either/or, it's zero sum game, it can't be both.

For their lives to matter, black lives can't matter.

For their lives to matter, black teens have to die.

For their lives to matter, they have to shoot first and not even ask any questions later.

That her life matters more than the people she serves. Remember she has a choice in this. The African American kid doesn't have a choice being who and perhaps what he was born into.

"Learn more ways to preserve rather than destroy.
Avoid rather than check.
Check rather than hurt.
Hurt rather than maim.
Maim rather than kill.
For all life is precious nor can any be replaced."

That was from the original Kung Fu TV series staring David Carradine.
