NCLB might be one of the worst thing GWB did

at least the one with the longest lasting consequences.

I am convinced it was a giant grift, to enrich a few testing companies to the detriment of public school children.

It will take decades to unravel this destructive agenda from our school systems. if we can at all with the growing power and
influence these test corporations have.

Everything he did was to put public money into the hands of big business, this was no different.

Dumbya's brother Neil just happens to own such a company. Coincidence? I think not.

could open more charters and for profit education. The testing of schools is just a foil to make it seem like public schools are failing and realistically they're going to have lower scores because they have to accept everybody where as charters get to cherry pick students they educate. First comes the brain drain away from public ed then comes the pushing back of unions then eventually you get teachers paid minimum wage for not getting kids to have high enough grades then the whole system becomes privatized and teachers' unions (a democratic constituency) get takes away and it's one step closer for republicans to have total control of stat, local, and national governments.
