Scott Brown ad tries to rebrand him as an "independent"
Brown Up With First Ad In Massachusetts
Scott Brown is going up with his first ad of the cycle in Massachusetts Wednesday called Independent, stressing that the senator is not beholden to any party.
The ad touches on his rough upbringing, and he says in a voiceover, My whole life has been about beating the odds, and theres absolutely nothing in this world that you cant get if you work hard at it. It also includes a clip of Lesley Stahl on CBSs 60 Minutes saying Brown has turned out to be unpredictably independent, and beholden to no one.
The 30-second ad will begin airing Thursday in the Boston, Springfield, Providence and Albany markets, and on statewide cable, reports Politico.

Evidently, Brown is ashamed of his party. He'll need to explain how voting against students improves America.

Senate Democrats brought their version to the floor today, which would also keep interest rates where they are, and pay for it by closing a tax loophole that currently allows some very wealthy people to shield some of their earnings from the payroll tax (the S-corp provision). Republicans have, in the recent past, pointed to this as the kind of loophole they might be willing to close.

All 42 votes against the bill came from Republicans, including vulnerable incumbents like Sens. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) and Dean Heller (R-Nev.). Maine's Olympia Snowe (R) voted "present."
