Stop Talking About Saving the Planet

The planet will be just fine! The people, on the other hand, have a less bright future unless we start really pressing the climate change issues causing the problem. It is more than a coincidence that the Koch brothers deny climate change is being caused by carbon pollution when their industry is the prime reason we are experiencing climate change in the first place. It is also more than a coincidence that everyone in the GOP that is denying climate change exists are heavily influenced by Koch financed organizations. Could the link be any clearer? We own the planet, not the Koch brothers. They don't get to destroy it on their way out.

I think people understand the planet will probably not disintegrate from lack of an ozone layer, at least not until after humans and vegetation, maybe even, at long last, the roaches, are long gone.

I think if you want people to respond, you have to make it personal. Saving the planet has been used so often that it is pretty much equated with tree hugging. Even "Save the Human Race" would have more of a psychological impact. More accurately, save the human race from the humans.

All thanks to those more concerned with supporting Wall St. Invested in killing them while giving lip service about caring for them.

The two things that are at the root of the issue, the ability to keep more people alive year after year, and the ability to increase human activity through technology, are things that nobody is going to try to stop. The Koch brothers are nothing in the face of thousands and thousands of years of history, complexity, and momentum.
