Senator Sanders says:
Today, some 38 million Americans lack health insurance. Many others delay going to the doctor because of high deductibles and unaffordable copayments. While the number of uninsured Americans will go down with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, widely known as ObamaCare, tens of millions of Americans will remain uninsured.
Our system doesnt make economic sense, and it certainly doesnt make moral sense. In a civilized, democratic society, every man, woman and child must be able to get the medical care they need regardless of income.
The goal of real health care reform must be high-quality, universal coverage in a cost-effective way. We must ensure, to as great a degree as possible, that the money we put into health coverage goes to the delivery of health care, not to paper-pushing, astronomical profits and lining CEOs pockets.
Stand with Senator Sanders and support universal health care for all Americans.

To many people sat on their collective butts in 2014. Here on DU, I saw many say they would not vote unless their candidate was progressive enough. I will never sit out a vote, ever! Hey, I held my nose and voted for Coakley here for Governor. Guess what, MA now has another R Governor. Aren't we a proud blue state, we have another Mitt!
So please, any ideas how we can get more Progressive candidates? It won't happen overnight. It is something we have to work at. Still, that said, I will never sit out an election.
thank you for your Op~

(11,833 posts)We democrats must vote in congressional elections too! Very good point.
The forces against us are big & powerful. They vote. Ignorance can only be defeated with love & education. In great numbers. The numbers are on OUR side. We must show them through voting and everything else we do offline.
