Georgia graduation ceremony breaks down after principal rants about ‘all the black people’

The graduation ceremony at a private school in Stone Mountain, Georgia sank into disarray after the school’s principal and founder clashed with the audience, The Grio reported.

Footage of the event at TNT Academy shows Nancy Gordeuk chiding crowd members after she mistakenly ended the ceremony before the valedictorian made his speech.

Gordeuk reportedly tried to get the audience to return to their seats, despite many of them leaving the building, leading to her apparently becoming frustrated.

“I think y’all owe this young man an apology, especially that goober that was coming through with his little thing. That was so rude,” she says, alluding to an unidentified student. “Where are you, you little coward? Come on back up here and let’s talk.”

----

“You people are so rude to not listen to this speech,” Gordeuk continues, as the unidentified valedictorian, a white person, stands near her. “It was my fault that we missed it in the program. Look who’s leaving, all the black people.”

Then when she did they were all like 'all right, here we go.' Yeah, last day of school is best. Last day of junior high we had a food fight in the cafeteria. The assistant principal got a mike and told us all we suck. We threw food at him and left.

Nope, doesn't happen frequently because we live in a society that believes in equality and justice of all. We are POST-equality.

among people who think the same way. Never occurs to some people that anyone around them thinks differently. My sister and I encounter it often, especially during and since the 2008 election. People toss out their vile racist shit with great confidence, then look so shocked when we call them on it. Seeing the open jaws and red faces is the joy of living liberally in a red zone.

Then the principal realized she had forgotten to introduce the valedictorian to give a final speech. Then the principal started yelling at everyone to return to their seats. She started yelling to close the doors to the hall. Then rather than just turning it over to the valedictorian she starts berating people.

I like how the guy with the camera says to his friend 'there's no arguing with a crazy person' and 'let the crazy woman talk'. I think most of the students are just kind of stunned. Then when she starts yelling about a goober and saying 'Look who is leaving, all the black people', of course a bunch of people start leaving.

for-profit charter schools. You would not believe how poor the English is or the number of simple errors there. A small sample:

The Academy runs a Traditional School Program where classes meet and teachers teach. All faculty are
certified in their fields and provide the excellent quality to the education of our students.

Classes meet daily where interaction with others and a teacher provides stimulation to help students grow and learn intellectually. All of this combined provides for a successful experience for all involved. This facility operates to meet the needs of all students enrolled. Each educational program is specialized to serve each students interests and needs striving to meet the general welfare of all students they serve.

Students must meet with the teacher and attend 7th period classes in order to obtain a credit lost in the public schools. Meeting with the teacher allows for assignments, feedback and testing in order to best serve the student. At the same time some students would like to proceed forward and obtain some additional credits, which can be done through TNT Academy. Just bear in mind that the public schools do have and will give an EOCT test to courses of which they are required, even though they are given at TNT- they have the right to require an EOCT test for required courses.

I still haven't determined if this is a for-profit charter school (but I'm almost certain it is)

"For which they are required" instead of "of which they are required." I've noticed a lot of strange verb-related preposition use ("verbal rection" or "prepositional government" it used to be called eons ago) among low SES-background people, esp. in the south. Don't know if it's just lack of knowledge or hypercorrection.

The rest seems to require close reading. So TNT gives an end-of-course test. But public schools have their own required EOCT for required courses.

Bored with public school classrooms and starting to get into trouble? Come to us! Just pony up the $100 Registration Fee and tuition the first two weeks of each month.

Nice hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am to 11:30 am
Monday - Wednesday: 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Daily Closed: 11:30 am to 1:00 pm for Planning and Lunch
Closed on Friday, except for new students and payment

An entire day devoted to payment... sounds like a total racket.
